In 2012, I inherited a trunk containing the remnants of silk fabric used to make my mother’s clothes.  What started as homage to my mother evolved into something more.  The paintings were process driven, as well as the process of re-living.  The act of cutting and tearing of fabric, peeling off threads from the body of fabric refer to that unforgettable period of adjusting to the difficulties of life after her passing in 1974.
